Thank goodness for the Ronald McDonald House! It is a free facility to the families of hospital residents. We have enjoyed their play room, outdoor play ground, and activities, even a free home cooked meal on some nights. It is just nice to have such a good place to take the kids. They have brought juice and snacks to the hospital which has been really nice when we need a quick pick me up! They have rooms for a lot of the families, but we have been fortunate enough to stay at my mom's. We look forward to dinner tomorrow night. Every Wednesday the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints aka The Mormons (my mom's ward) bring fresh homemade soup and cookies for dinner. I can't believe all the service they receive. It has been so nice.
My mom has been making soup every Wednesday for the past couple years. Never did we think we would be on the receiving end of the very activity she has been donating to.
