One good Kid

Happy Little Boy, Happy Mama!

Today we were able to enjoy the little boy we remember. He was so wide awake. He was so pink! He wanted to be held, and I wanted to do nothing but hold him. It was so comforting having him back in my arms.

I was so happy that Brad had to practically drag me out of the hospital tonight. He still has his feeding tube, so he is getting mini-meals. Hopefully soon he will be off of the tubes and Oh Natural!
Only a few more to go. He is no longer receiving any IV meds, central line should go in the next 48. Pending a chest x-ray he probably will loose the oxygen tube and final chest tube. All that is left is sensors and his arterial line for blood work. His digestion is great. His bowls are moving and kidney's working. he is still on an oral kidney medication, but we don't think that will be for long either. As long as he continues on his path of healing and maintaining we anticipate a move to General in this coming week. If all goes well this will be my last good night of sleep.

I am amazed at the progress in the past 2 days. We are so grateful for god's strength through this. We are blessed to have the healing power of the priesthood in our home. All we can do is pray he gets better and have faith in the Lord's plan for Jake.

He is a miracle!
