All put back together! No more tubes, pink skin, and great stats. More than I could have imagined this same time last week.
I can't believe that just 14 days ago our world was turned upside down. It was the week before last Thursday that we found out about Jacob's Congenital Heart Defect. In that time we have been to the ER, NICU, and Cardio ICU. He has been resuscitated, had one smaller procedure, an open heart bypass surgery, lived 5 days with and open chest, and made a great recovery, thus far.

We have now been told we are ready for discharge. All he has to do now is gain a little weight and wait for the discharge papers. This whole process has been so much quicker than anticipated. Jake is a strong boy with The Lord on his side. How Blessed we are to have him in our lives. I can't wait to take him home and see the man he grows to become. It is a miracle he is here with us. All medical knowledge of his condition and common sense, given the timing, tells us we should be having a funeral rather than a home coming. I am Amazed by the Grace of God! He has truly moved mountains for Jacob's sake.

I know Jacob is here to do Great Things.
The Lord has blessed him and our family. Now it is our turn to glorify Him. This is the gift we have received. I know our journey is not over, but I also know that God is with us through this journey.
