Moven'on up!

We got a call from the Dr and everything is looking really good for Jake. All of his tubes and wires are out and he is feeding really well now. They even took out his pacemaker wires and feeding tube! Eating pumping and breathing all on his own. It has been incredible to see his recovery. We look around at all the other kids here ad cannot believe how fast our stay has been. Nothing about this has been standard. He really is a miracle baby. He is doing so well that they want to move him up to the general inpatient. Even better they have already started his discharge tests. All of which are looking better than expected. He will go home on 3 medications, as of now. It is great to see him happy and healthy. The normal stay in the general is approximately a week, but the Dr is anticipating discharge SATURDAY!!! I am trying not to get my hopes up because you never know with hospital time, but he seems to be moving right along. They also seem to think I can go straight home to our house! I won't have to stay here for a week or 2 as we had originally thought. He really does have one foot out the door. We are so happy that we will get to bring him home! Our family will be on a bit of quarantine for the up coming weeks so we are still thinking to we will hire a nanny for the other girls, but this have been amazing.

There are some meds he will probably take his whole life, and the chance of follow up surgeries in the years to follow.

Our Drs and nurses have done such a good job helping Jake and his little heart. I have been so grateful for their service.
