Inspiration

Given the past couple of days we are really trying to find inspiration in anything and everything we can. I can't believe Thursday morning I was dropping kidos off at school and reading books at the Library with what I thought was my perfectly healthy baby boy, and by midnight the same day I was praying with all my heart for Jake to make it through the night. Now, I am sitting bed side watching his struggle for life as we await open heart surgery tomorrow morning.

Through this I can't help be inspired and uplifted by the parallels between the Prophet Jacob and our dear son. Guess we gave him a pretty fitting name... Should have named him Preston! Could that have changed this predicament we find ourselves in!? Probably not. So, perhaps him name was was revelation in itself.

That being said, we found it quite fitting to name this blog/update after the story of Jacob's Ladder. Genesis 28:10-22 .

Jake is a strong boy, and against all odds has is still alive today. He still has the worst of his struggle to face, but I know the Lord is with us. I place by baby is the hand of my loving Heavenly Father and pray for Miracles.

" 15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 ¶And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it."

God is with us. I feel his presents and hear his voice. I don't know why Jake has been given this hurdle, but I know there is a purpose in this trial. However hard it may be right now. I have found such peace through my faith.

Psalms 46:10  "Be  still, and  know that I am God: I will be exalted...The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge."

Thank you for your love. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your prayers, fasts and blessings. We welcome you to follow us as we help Jake climb his Ladder. May the angels descend upon him and give him strength. We have seen miracles, and this is only the beginning.
